NURSE PRACTITIONER
WHITEVILLE/SOUTHPORT, NC
Full-Time
Job Description:
Provides primary care for assigned patients in the assigned Facilities.
Conducts physicals and annual assessments for assigned patients based on Facility schedule.
Completes history and physical on new admissions within 72 hours of admission or readmission.
Prepares discharge orders, instructions and prescriptions for patients being discharged.
Encourages advanced care planning and end of life decisions for patients requiring these services. This may include initiating and providing palliative care services as necessary.
Provides pharmacy with needed narcotic prescription refills as patient need dictates.
Documents patient assessment and plan of care in the electronic medical record.
Notify family of changes in condition.
Communicates daily with nursing staff, assigns duties, supervises, and evaluates work performance.
Reviews policies and procedures for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for the Nursing Services Department, and assures staff compliance.
Recommends and/or conducts specific areas of in-service or continuing education which the nursing staff might require.
Enters into a Collaborative Practice Agreement with the duly licensed and qualified supervising physician as selected by LMCS.
Complies with all provisions of the Collaborative Practice Agreement.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Current, unrestricted valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of assignment or the ability to obtain.
Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a national credentialing body.
DEA certificate current or the ability to obtain.
Past experience working in long-term care, a nursing home, or with seniors in other settings preferred.
Willing to be 'on call' for Facilities as needed.
Must have ability to make decisions regarding nursing problems, realizing that errors and incompetence may have serious consequences for patients and/or staff.
Must be work well under pressure, problem solve, and perform various jobs.
Must read, know, and follow personnel, department and Facility polices and procedures and adhere to local, state, and federal requirements.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
